Amanda Leigh (Mandy) Moore was born on April 10,1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire, but shortly after her and her parents moved to Orlando, Florida. When Mandy was nine years old, she realized her musical inclinations at a summer musical theatre camp—and soon after she was begging her mom and dad to send her to acting/voice lessons.
mandymoore1Although Mandy cannot say for sure where her “abilities” may have come from, she thinks her performing genes can be accredited to her grandmother, a dancer in the theatre district of London. “The National Anthem Girl”, as she was known in Orlando because she sang the National Anthem for all the major league sports teams and for Chris Evert’s Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament. Mandy’s voice has been featured on many National Commercials, TV pilots, and voice-overs. She loves many types of music, but her favorite singers include such female vocalists as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill and Madonna.

Mandy, age 15, still resides in Orlando with her parents, Don and Stacey, her brothers, Scott and Kyle, and their three cats, Milo, Zoe and Chloe. Mandy will say that she got her start “jumping on my bed and singing”, but she is now anticipating the release of her 550 Music debut album.mandymoore2
