The Goo Goo Dolls are a band rock [1] U.S. , formed by John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar), Robby Takac (bass guitar) and Mike Malinin (drums).

They have recorded 8 studio albums: Goo Goo Dolls (1987) and Jed (1989) Hold Me Up (1991) and Superstar Car Wash (1993) were unsuccessful.

The album of 1995 A Boy Named Goo contains the song name.
Three years later in 1998 the Goo Goo Dolls have become internationally known with the album Dizzy Up The Girl as one of the best pop-rock. The album contains a song well known, entitled Iris : the success of the album is due in part to the presence of the song in the soundtrack of City of Angels , starring Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage . Iris has managed to be first in the world rankings for 25 consecutive weeks, making sure a million steps radio and is considered one of the 100 most beautiful songs that we were ever citation needed .

After four years of silence, the Goo Goo Dolls rincompaiono on the scene in 2002 with an album titled Gutterflower. The album sold 5 million copies thanks to the success of Here Is Gone and in part by Sympathy.

In 2006 the trio of Buffalo still comes out with a new album Let Love In, which appear in songs such as Stay With You, Without You Here, Become, Can not Let It Go, and Give a Little Bit Better Days. The album will be promoted with a summer tour in the company of Lifehouse and Colbie Caillat .

The first greatest hits came in 2007 , when November 13 comes the first collection that includes all the most famous pieces including unpublished Before It’s Too Late, soundtrack of the film Transformers .

On September 18, 2009 Johnny Rzeznik said in an interview with Good Day LA, the new album has a name: “Something for the Rest of Us.”
