Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook (although his real name is Quentin Leo Cook) was born in Bromley , England , on July 31, 1963, and grew up in Reigate . He went to Reigate Grammar School and the University of Brighton ( England ), and that is where he began working as a DJ . His style is known as big beat , a combination of hip hop , breakbeat , rock and rhythm
and blues . Stopped using ‘Quentin’ and began to be called ‘Norman’ long before taking his other pseudonym. Norman’s musical career began in a rock band called The Housemartins , then in 1992 worked for a band of Brighton known as Freak Power , which released 2 albums and worked for a commercial levis pants, well known.
